What's BB Glow?
BB Glow is a treatment that involves inserting a semi-permanent BB cream on the face and neck to reduce
the use of foundation over a periode of 6 to 12 months.
Very similar to microneedling, the BB Glow is a sub category. This facial treatment penetrates colored plant pigments into the skin using micro-needles to achieve a foundation style effect. This new treatment is used to even out skin tone by reducing: freckles, redness, sun and acne spots, dark circles and signs of fatigue, as well as reducing enlarged pores. It is a treatment to unified complexion as well as correcting several minor imperfections.

Difference between BB Glow and Microneedling
BB Glow = Unifies skin tone and hides minor imperfections
Microneedling = Treats skin problematic in depth
If you are familiar with microneedling, BB Glow treatment is very similar. In fact, it is a sub category to microneedling. Using the same tool, an electric pen with micro-needle tips, the skin is punctured to then apply the plant-based foundation under the epidermis. Unlike microneedling, the BB Glow treatment isn't performed as deep. I recommend the BB Glow treatment for clients who already have a beautiful skin, but with some minor imperfections that they would like to camouflage. BB Glow is a great option for clients who want to reduce their use of foundation.
While the microneedling treatment is suggested to address a deeper skin problem.
In both cases, the micro-incisions with needles stimulate the fibroblasts (the cells responsible for the quality of skin). These micro-incisions will force the skin to produce more elastin and collagen. Two structural proteins to improve the skin's resistance. The micro perforations will activate the healing process of the epidermis, promoting cell renewal. Because the skin is ventilated due to the micro-incisions, it allows to easily inject creams, serums or pigments deeper into the skin. In the case of BB Glow treatment, the active ingredients of the pigment unfold from the inside and the BB cream effect doesn't disappear with each make-up removal as regular make-up would.
