What's a lash lift?
A lash lift is a lifting technique designed to give you longer-looking lashes without the need for lash extensions. Using your own lashes, it is permed against a silicon pad to give a natural looking lift. Perfect for anyone who has straight or downward facing natural lashes. At the end of the treatment, a black tint will be applied to make your lashes look more prominent
How long is the treatment?
Approximately 30 minutes
How long does the effect last?
Depending on the length, condition, and shedding cycle of your lashes, the lash lift usually lasts up to 6 weeks
How do I prep for this treatment?
Please come to your appointment without makeup on your eyes. If you wear contacts and don't feel comfortable wearing them during the treatment with your eyes closed, they must be removed before hand
What are the post-treatment instructions?
Do not apply anything on your lashes for the first 24H following your appointment. For 24H, you must avoid water, steam to let your lashes dry into place. I always recommend to wash hair the day before your appointment to avoid having to take a shower the same day
Is the lash lift like eyelash extensions where my lashes will look dramatically thicker?
Lash extensions and lash lifts are two totally different procedures. A lash lift will not be adding any additional lashes to your eyes. It will simply be curling your natural lashes. It will make your lashes appear fuller because they are so uplifted, and the black tint will give that light mascara look
Can I still wear mascara?
Of course! But it is advised that you leave your lashes untouched for at least 24 hours after your treatment. You'll achieve a more dramatic effect when mascara is applied to your new curled lashes. Use a non-waterproof mascara as the removal of waterproof mascaras can be harsh on the lashes and weaken the lift
How do I clean my eyes?
Gently, using mild products. Always wait 24 hours after your treatment
Can I use an eyelash curler?
There will be no need for an eyelash curler as this treatment gives a much better result than using a curler. But more importantly, using one may weaken and damage your lashes. In all cases, we do not recommend them, because they can weaken and break your lashes
How is this treatment any different than a lash perm?
The lash lift is a new, improved procedure, overcoming the ‘over curled’ look of its predecessor . Whilst the chemical procedure is identical to a perm, the difference is in the results. The lash perm uses old-fashioned perm rollers which curl back the lashes to the extent of the ‘dolly look’. The lash lift uses silicone pads to lift the lash from the root in a curled and upwards position that gives length and a bright-eyed enhanced look
Is it painful?
Not at all !
I use a growth product for my lashes. Can I get this treatment?
Yes! Some of the most dramatic results achieved are from those clients using a lash growth product, because their lashes are long and thick! Avoid using the growth product 24H following your lash lift. I invite you to read my article on the best lash growth serum
I have downward-pointing lashes, will this be a good treatment for me?
Yes! Anyone with these types of pesky lashes will love the lash lift! Post treatment, your lashes will all be evenly dispersed and lifted
How often can I have a lash lift?
You can repeat the treatment every 4 weeks if you feel you need to, or you can wait until they are back to their natural state
I have very very short lashes. Am I able to still do this procedure
Yes!
I've recently had blepharoplasty surgery, can I have this procedure?
You need to wait at least 1 year from your surgery. Clients who have had this surgery have increased sensitivity in the eye area for quite a while. You need to give yourself that time to heal first. Consult your Doctor for a medical opinion
